From the thumbnail, I actually thought the foreground object was the rotting wreck of an old wooden boat. Given that you seem to have such great light and still water mornings, I wonder if there is a wreck or tattered boat anywhere nearby that you could make use of? You would get a very atmospheric shot from it, perhaps more so than with some of the modern boats. This is a good effort, different thinking.

Kaj, that's a wonderful piece of driftwood. You have created a very nice composition with it and the sea. You always have such beautiful peaceful scenes.

Another one of your beautiful water pictures! Strong composition. The wood in the front almost takes over. The boat and water/reflection are beautiful. I'm wondering if a bit more light on the wood in front (to bring out detail) would improve the picture (or not?). Here is an attempt at lightening the wood :)

Great and interesting subject, only a bit dark, but the overall lighting and colors are good, what do you think about hiding the boat in background? just to increase the visual impact and the dramaticity of the image, only a little idea! Bye Max

Strong image - more light on the foreground would bring out the texture of the wood but other than that an excellent tonal composition

Nicely composed land/seascape. A well planed shot. I would have liked a little more light on the foreground. Overall-it's a lovely photo. Kind regards, Allen

An interesting, if mystifying, foreground object distinguishes this photo. The lighting is very subdued allowing lower contrast and good shadow detail.
