Becky - You are correct, I did added the light effect behind the cross, I thought that it was more powerful.
And no offence taken, this is exactly the comments I would like to get I am new to photography and gladly accept comments - Thank you - Brian

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like this photo was "post-processed" in order to add light to the cross, giving the photo a mystic feeling. While I have absolutely nothing against PhotoShoppery, I have to say that I don't think this photo needs it. I truly believe the sight of a crooked cross in the middle of an empty field carries enough impact and suggestion of spiritualism to negate the need for lighting effects . . . I feel it's akin to a touching story which has more impact when one finds out it's true. Plus, you have a beautifully exposed sky with some nice looking, tranquil clouds and it's a bit of a shame to see them so blown out in that one spot.
I apologize if my assumption about the PhotoShopping was incorrect. I also hope I didn't come off too harshly - I really do like the photo; I just don't think it needs the embelishment. :)
