One of the better spider shots I've seen around here. As mentioned, the fringeing light is superb, giving the spider a luminescent quality. DOF could be bumped up a notch but if it were to diminish any other aspect, I wouldn't bother. As a variation, try darkening the green background a little which will strengthen the dramatic mood by highlighting the web and spider even more.
