Wow, thank you all for your positive comments on this photo! I need to settle the question about the subject facing in or out of the doorway...she was facing toward the inside. It is my daughter and she had been out on the deck...it was a Saturday morning around 9:00 am?? She was standing just in the doorway and I just saw a chance for something there in a photo so I quick grabbed my camera and took the shot. I'm overjoyed that people have had an impact from it. Thanks again. I love b&w and hope I can do more with it. PS...the linoleum is old and needs replacing! LOL!

Awesome....I still think the person is facing out the door. I agree This is an image the creates impact, suspense, drama. Beautiful!!!

A great example of dramatic b & w shadows, this image is filled with suspense. at first I thought the figure was facing out the door, but then I saw the feet and realized I was standing in the shadows. It really worked on me.
