Very nice shot.

These Banyon tree are like human family. Like the great great grandfather and his decendents this one gives off little shoots which become a small root and that one goes on to give some of its own.

There was one in Madras thological society in India. That was 1000 years old!!!!! with its all family roots. Sadly that is dead now but his family is healthy and giving off off-springs.

Hi Joann, I thought you have gone missing. So this is where you have been hiding. A pretty good place to hide. It must be pretty dark over there with that mamouth spralling tree. No wonder Thomas went on to invent the bulb. Nice image.

Joann,

Nice idea to convert this mage to B&W because in color I don't think it works. Two things I might suggest. First re-shoot this with real B&W film, when you desaturate you don't have the same effect as you would have gotten using real b&wfilm. Second the image is not sharp enough, if your using Photoshop then the last thing you want todo before saving it is run the unsharp mask on it. This will help sharpen up the image greatly.
