I couldn't figure out how to respond to your comment with the new version, other than by going back to the original one. The new version is clearly much better, IMHO. Do you agree? I took a hasty look at some of your other images, and I must say that you've done some very nice work - most of it better than this bird, even when it's corrected. Keep up the good work.
It's my view that a site like this calls not just for praise (e.g. "nice shot"), but for constructive criticism, so long as it's done in a respectful manner. That's what I will try to do with this image and I hope that I don't offend. The bird is interesting and nicely captured, but I have two problems with the composition: first, the buildings in the background; second, the tilted horizon line. I also wonder about the sort of halo around the beak and head. I assume that this is a result of post-processing. I see from your biography that you are new to photography. This is a good start. Keep at it!
