Ouch... Back in '68 I as I was leaving college in Boston for the summer, a biology professor who was heading for a year in the Amazon, gave me a bunch of seedlings -- including a bunch of Jimson Weed. I didn't really know what to do with them, so I drove to a certain waterfront park that shall remain nameless and planted them overlooking Long Island Sound. A couple of years ago I happened to drive by that park and guess what? At least they're very pretty when they blossom.

Thank you everyone. This is a seed pod from the beautiful plant Datura (Angels Trumpet). They appear all over the plant. The plant and the seeds are poisonous.
