Taken at temple Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok, Thailand. I know the gold bar (actually edge of a temple door already wide open) distracts a little, but I had no other options as tourists were on his right, and I didn't want to include them in the frame. I decided to not clone the gold bar out, as I wanted to present exactly was was on my slide.
I got his permission by gesturing with my camera, thus was able to get great eye contact with him. This is taken around 50mm at f/4 (which was widest aperture for 50mm on this lens). He was standing directly next to the building I could not blur the background as much as I wanted.
Sorry for the scan quality (very old scanner). I do not have the Photoshop skills to alter my scans to make them look like the slides, but I still like this photo. -- Rod :)
