The VW bug has long since discontinued for sale in the USA. Now, it is very common to see old VW's "thrown away" and ready for the scrapper. But, now after over 50 years of production, (the last few years in MEXICO), can these rusting bugs soon be collectors items and "hot" restoration items. I seldom digitalize a photo, especially a type C photo, but the thoughts of just ending all bugs and junking the balance irked me. For I have owned four different Volkswagens in my life and loved them. This photograph with it's overwhelming yellow, shows my discontent.
