Yes, Chris, make no mistake about it: dogs control us, we don't control them. What a great face though. My parents' dog often has the same face when she's just left a gift on the living room floor. It says, "Haha, that's what you get for not taking me on my walk when I wanted to go." The image itself is great high-key work. The DOF and exposure are perfect. Outstanding emphasis on the eyes.
Wonderful meeting you yesterday. I hope we can hook up again soon.

Excellent pet portrait, Chris! Really good use of short depth of field to focus on that 'who - me?' face! I also really like the semi high-key look, with the only real darks being around his eyes.

What a great presentation! The minimal DOF is perfect for highlighting "the look". As well, the lack of a lot of black in the image is refreshing... with more white you've created a fasle sense of innocence, even though you know he's full of mischief.

Love this, Chris. Especially the singular tone with ony the focus pulling the dog's face out of it. Wonderful expression and you've portreyed the eyes perfectly. Very beautifully done.
