My friend Affie married his fiancee Joanna a couple of years ago. Put is this way, she is less than pretty. Still, she chose her wedding dress beautifully, and that day she looked the best she will ever look. Their wedding photographer was a total disaster. Joanna was pretty for one day. She will have to live with the memories as she will never have the pictures.
They could have done with your help.

Creative, but .... watch out for shadows, suggest using reflector or fill in flash for this shot! my 2 cent :-)

I love weddings! Good fun, getting drunk and all that. I don't think thats what you did though. In b&w and from that angle it reminds me a lot of Gone With The Wind. Its a memorable shot as it is but personaly I would have liked to seen more of their faces, the shadows fall in all the wrong places. If you're going to keep doing weddings I'd seriously give some thought to a reflector or an off camera flash with a bounce to just add a bit of light where its needed.

monumental angle for monumental moment and quite important moment for the couple as well. you are now a wedding photographer. watch out for those bridesmaids. Do you remember trying to use my manual focus slr for my wedding. Not one picture in focus. Thank the lord for high tech otherwise you would never have realised that latent talent. Might have another wedding now that you are on fire. Can I borrow your shirt again?
