hi Philip...well i used 2 2k studio hot lights that had frenel lense ..but you could very well use a slide projector as well..i have done that alot also..i just took jells.. you can go on google and look up ROSCO thay are one of the largest theatre suppliers...actualy i usually buy several of there swatch books,,because you get every color in the rainbow and sometimes i will take a 35mm slide mount and put a bunch of gels in there and then you can project colors in or out of focus...as far as how far the wall was from the balls..i would say about 8-10 feet ..the table that i use in studio is a 4x8' sheet of plywood on a rolling table and the white wall was about 20' wide by 15' tall...please feel free to ask any thing else !

Very neat photo, I love taking pictures like this. Did you have any other lighting on the subject other than the reflected light from the back wall? How far behind the balls was the wall and how bright was it? Did you use a slide projector or a light with gels? Loads of questions on this one.
