Fabio we unfortunately have many such places here in Warsaw. reminders purposefully left of hte occupation and ww2. their presence and power is always amazing.
I would have taken the holes slightly off centre though, they bother me so centrally, and especially as they move that darker patch half off hte frame.
I don't know some have questioned posting this. So it has physical marks.. what if it was a town square whee executions took place, isn't just knowing enough? hearing hte screams and shots. The holes are a visual symbol, but its the knowledge that makes yo uscream inside.

Powerful work, Fabio, and straight into my favorites. We cannot, must not, forget these things, We cannot, must not, turn away from them because they are not "pretty" or because they remind us of what shameful things we are capable of.
What I really admire about this is that it is a beautiful photograph, or I guess I admire you for that. You've given us the eye of history, staring at us from its wall. Ghosts, memories, people's beautiful lives gone now . . .

I finally read the "about" remark. Terrible marks on that wall. I suppose you still can find remains all over Europe created by the Nazis. All I can say is that I?m glad not to have lived in Europe during those days. And the marks on the wall tell their story.
Like a history book. I cannot se why you should not show this piece of reality.

Yikes! execution wall! Take any ideas you want! :) This is quite the almost scarey find, I would have been nervous just being there. Though the photo itself has good color, texture, and really shows the holes well.

I think I would have liked this even not knowing about the bullet holes. And please Fabio, show me something from Maria Hilferstrasse. I can?t get that name out of my head. All I remeber was that there were a lot of shoes on sale.
