You won't regret it, every focal length has its own mark on portraits, and the 20mm is no exception hehe~

After your comment on my shot, I decided to check out your stuff. I love this image! I'm going to start shooting portraits with my 19mm now!

Thx mike, not sure why his hand looks odd, but you're right, it does, this is a fellow photographer of mine who's name i shant mention (i'm sure you'll understand, the internet being the place that it is and all) and yes - this is the very same AS220 you know from providence, I thought it was pretty cool someone recognized it, heh.

I like it very much, though his left hand looks a little strange. Who is he? Is that the same AS220 I know in Providence, RI?

T! This is so cool. He looks dwarfish... The reflector doesn't work for me... But it doesn't detract either...

I don't care about the reflector. It looks like a caricature to me. Nice shot.

"Gives him somewhere to start from and somewhere to go, yaknow? "

Sorry Terry, I dont see it either...
I too love everything about the image, except the reflector...maybe its not the reflector as much it is its color...

Admittedly I didnt pay attention and was too busy watching the effect of the fill instead of the thing getting in the frame, but when i look at it now i think it balances off the weird perspective of the 20mm lens and works with the movement of his body throughout the image. Gives him somewhere to start from and somewhere to go, yaknow?

Love the perspective in this one... I really like the look that 17mm -20mm lenses give, and you've used this one to your advantage, for sure.
I like the background, showing his surroundings, all except for the reflector... any reason why you left it in?
All in all, very cool angle!
