There are people (not many, obviously) who make a living out of chasing and photogrpahing electrical storms. I'm attaching a version I played with in Photoshop - up to you whether you like it - but what I didwas to select first the lighted area in the street and lighten it, then select the sky and darken it - both in Levels. Then I applied a Colour Dodge in Edit>Fade Levels, which made the left side lightning very white, but unfortunately maed the right one too red. This could be corrected in NeatImage if you want to try it.
All the best and congrats on a photo that must have taken a lot of time and dedication, and possibly a little personal danger!

Very nice- I would crop some of the bootom 1/3. Also a little darker would show of the lightning. Great capture, be safe. I attached on of mine hope you like!
