Nice color and exposure. With your DOF, you should get all of your subject (leaves and stem). Your background is pretty good, but I'd stay away from the dark spots. Go for the green.

nice use of space and color.....point of focus requires more definition and DOF........creative and good concept..would like to see this worked over with a stronger point of focus.........and more DOF.........again nice attempt and a job well done.......some obviously creative thinking here.........
