I think the flash gives it the
3 dimensional look.

Another great job, Jamie. I don't think the flash detracts from the image here at all. Are the colors in the goats eye real, or a result of the flash or PS manipulation? It's a great photo.

The expression of this goat is priceless! What a great shot. As others have mentioned, the clarity is amazing. I really like the flash. I think it adds to it! How close were you?

Hi, Jamie. Not your average character portrait here, but unique and humorous, nonetheless. He (or she) looks as if you caught him unaware or bewildered. I wouldn't moan at all about the use of the flash; it appears to have done pretty well against the background and allowed for richer colors. Seems like the composition could use a little work; on the other hand, shots of animals don't always allow for flawless composition. Great photo.
