Looks to me as though 1/2 sec. was perfect for the shot. The near tree & the far ones are both in focus, which I like. The magenta is a little strong, although I wouldn't say that is distracting. Colors change a bit at dusk. A nice image.

Well, I initially thought that 'June' was the name of the river; now I realise my mistake. It's interesting how an incorrect interpretation of just one word can alter the viewer's perception of a picture. Thanks for setting me on the right track, I do get the idea now. And, it teaches me to look deeper into photographs. Alas, I am a technical kind of person :-)

What this photo is about ? Well, I don't think we deserve a course here - shortly, it has to do with the concept of non-self (Anatta) that I tried to translate with the contrast between the dense and lush vegetation (the concept of self) and the thin flow of the water (the concept of impermanence). Thus the title that doesn't actually refer neither to the trees nor the water but to the continous passage of time.
The photo was taken at dusk and was not very saturated. I used Fred Miranda's PS action "Virtual Velvia" to boost it and was pleased by the unreal look it took. Comments about the magenta cast bring me back to the fact that I am a daltonnian colour-blind. Quite an interesting life experience for that matter. Well of course, to comply with the majority colour definition, I'd have to ask a "normal" person to validate my processing. You have just done so. I checked something with the colourmeter : at least the whites are white.
The missing "i" was inserted before Matej's comment was actually posted.

The title leads me to believe that the flowing river is meant to be the main subject, however to be honest I don't quite get that from the photograph itself. To be more precise, I wasn't sure whether the photo is about the river, the trees, or rather the place as a whole. I miss a point of focus.

Having said that, I must also say that the half-second exposure works very well with the flowing water and I like the resulting effect. So if the intention was to find the proper shutter speed, you've achieved that very well IMO.

The photo seems to have a strong magenta tint. Is that something you did on purpose?

P.S.: I believed you missed an 'i' when typing in the title, maybe you'll want to fix that.

Very nice Christian. I like the way that water flows. Looks very fluid. Great greens in the trees. I feel that the rocks have a magenta caste that is a little unreal. Otherwise a great picture. Don.

What a great picture, i just love this scene. You can really see the motion in the water.

Best regards from sweden
