About	The Natural History Museum at Santa Barbara had a living traveling butterfly display setup. They had this large screened in area with flowering plants inside. There were many different types of butterflies flying around in this enclosure. The visitors were able to walk around inside to view and photograph the butterflies. In another part of the display, they had the progressing forms of the butterfly development from caterpillar to the cocoon to the emergence of the butterfly.

Congrats Darryl ! I like this ! The composition is excellent, the lighting really separates the butterfly from the foliage, and the black sets off so much more subtle colors in the wings. DOF is superb for this shot too. The way they seem to always be in motion they can sure be hard to capture with intricate details. Nicely done !

Beautiful shot of the butterfly Darryl. I love attending these butterfly exhibits and go to them when I can. There is a botanical garden not far from me that has them from time to time.
