About
In the steam powered era the engines required fairly frequent maintenance. To accommodate the work demand, a maintenance building was built in a big circle. There was a moveable table in the center with tracks on it. The engine would be driven onto the turntable, the table was rotated to line up with the tracks of the desired service bay and moved in. In this photo, each door in the building is a work bay.
