The portrait and the expression of the man are nice... in my opinion, the main point on this photo is the choice of doing or not a DOF on the hand... It seems that you focus your work and the hand which can be a good point but unfortunately the DOF is not so powerfull and the face seems just slightly out of focus. This attracts the eye.. In this face, the eye of the man is really expressive and focus on his face would be, in my opinion, the work to do to really emphasize this eye. Anyway, this is a nice work in a well managed B&W tones and contrast. Congrats

Excellent monochrome tones and superb details caught in this portrait. You went for the pose with the subject's eyes off camera, I'm thinking eye contact might have been more dramatic. None-the-less a great portrait study,
