thanks for your comment Andre; there are good photographers and good artisans, knowing my limitations I try to be a member of the second ones. Regarding to Avi, I know him very well, one of the very few photographers of this forum I met in person and who deserves all my admiration; his words never hurt me but egging me on to improve :)

This was a great response to Avi's comment. I'm sure he is only trying to encourage you to come up with even more outstanding images. However, there is no need to apologize for "cliche" work. Especially in this case. The way I see it is if you admire other photographers and artists, why not try to create something similar? It happens all the time. Originality for the sake of originality does not always produce wonderful images. We learn and get better at what we do by emulating others.

brother you never disappoint me, that's the reason I loved usefilm (even sunset man) because of the sincerity of many comments; let me explain myself though: I'm a bad photographer, not very origina and by any means creative, so I do agree you are right, I'm a "cliche" photographer but knowing my limitations I just try to replicate the work of many others and feel very satisfy when I do it, so in the end I aspire to be a good "copier", that's the sad reality. regarding this image: is it a cliche?, for sure you have see many pictures from third world similar but I liked the strong composition and fine techs, the intense look of the girl and eye contact adds to the picture, at least this is how I see it (or want to see it).
the problem dear friend is that perhaps you are expecting to much from me and in this regard you always will be disappointing with my work but try to find something in my portfolio you can love :)

sorry doc, I am going to disappoint you. this is an extremely cliched subject and even as a photograph. come on.. you travel so much.. show us something we really haven't seen.
