What a great shot. There are so may levels and layers here. Keeps the eye moving. The fence in the forgrouns gives it a sort of trapped in the backyard feel while the partially hidden behind give it a slight "peeping" look. Very well done.

Excellent composition and beautiful tonality in this B&W. Hints of the life behind the garden fence... Very good!

Well I'm sure about it, Tanya -- it's very very good! The tones and textures are really perfect. That glowing highlight without blowing out the detail is very difficult to get. Your blacks are solid, and the bark on the cherry tree is so perfect that I know it's a cherry tree even from here.
One place I'd question is the slat where you can see the umbrella's bottom. I don't know if it would be better burned in a bit so that it's not quite so bright, or not. It's one of those things that I would have to try myself if this were mine, to see which way I liked it better.
Fabulous job here -- it's unusual and very engaging and nicely composed!
