I see what your talking about with regard to the lips. I ran a PS action which does some automatic softening of the file. This may have contributed to the difference in her overall appearance, and other specific parts of the picture.
With regard to not being exciting, I can see that also, however; the pose was not inteded to create excitement, but more of a casual / relaxed sitting.
Hi Phillip, Sorry, but this shot doesn't work for me at all, your model is very pretty, but I find the portrait very harsh, in contrast to her quite soft face, the highlights on her nose and lips seem very unflattering. They seem to make her lips look plastic, and draw attention to the tip of her nose. I also find the pose rather unexciting, almost like a school photo. Sorry for being so negative - just my impressions.
