Oh but please buy the LEICA !!!!!!!!!!
The Leica and Panasonic camera are made in the same factory but maybe Leica has the Class A selected components and Panasonic the Class B components ?...........If you buy the Leica then we know the truth :-)

And remember it is a compact camera with a 5x5 mm image sensor. A DX / APC sensor is 32 times bigger
and has better resolution.

But then for a compact camera is has very good resolution and very good colors............for 400 Euro ........... ;-)

Thank you so much for detailed information what i need.
I want to buy Leica v-lux 2 but i think Panasonic Lumix FZ100 is more rational. Same cameras but FZ100 cheaper than v-lux 2.
Many thanks again my friend.
Take care.

Vehbi,

I am very very very happy with the Leica lens.
I often wondered what the perfect cam would be, it would be a Nikon body with a Leica lens. And yes, look at Internet, there are mounting kits to mount Leica lenses on Nikon bodies.

The FZ100 optics offers 25 - 600 mm (35mm equivalent ) at F/2.8 - 5.2
I noticed a little burning on high intensity light in the image so in order to avoid that I just set the EV at standard -2/3rd, say 1 F stop. That gives me a camera that behaves like a say F/2.0 -4.8

I even need to tempter the light with a LCW ND fader with 2-8 F stops fading range. Otherwise the light would be to much, due to the sensitivity of the lens.

Besides the lens allows macro shots as close as 1 cm to the object you want to make an image of.

I also opted the Sony HSX100 but strangely they don't provide a threaded lens holder to support 52 mm filters. So much for the Sony.

Sensitivity is the only item mentioned in commercial brochures and adverts but there are so many aspects that qualifies a lens, aberration, clarity, MTF etc.

As Stan Hill would say and mention in his photos he is using good glass, I would say I have very very very good glass.

Like a good glass of fine wine. Cheers !

Yours,
Harry
