I like the softness and the view through the foreground into the lone rock standing in the water. A beautiful part of the coast of Oregon. For such a long exposure I like your results. Has a real mystic quality in the rough.

What a wonderful moody moment you have here. The longer you look at it, the more difficult to know if it is a long exposure of the sea or if it is mountain tops protruding up through the clouds. Maybe I looked too long.:) Darryl

Thank you. Nothing wrong with my scanner. At the time I took this, it was so dark I could barely see and it was not until I got the film back that I realized I should have used a much deeper DOF, but it was too late by then. I've always loved this image, but been frustrated by its softness, so after scanning, I added a sharpening effect. That must be the 'noise' you are seeing.

Great image, but why make everything so smooth and then add noise or did you have a scanning issue? The equipment and film used would never allow this and is somewhat a 'Contradiction in Artistry' in my opinion ...
