Excellent.... well almost excellent for my taste. This is because you focused very good at the boat however the sun is not looks so clear (and generaly the sky). Perchaps if you put manualy the focus at the middle distance between the sun and the boat the two main objects of your photo the sun could be much more sharp (and also some clouds) and the boat will be as good as here. My rating is 7,7,7,7,6. PS I am not sure if PowerShot G2 can do manualy focus however I think this is a good photo (it was one of these I have in my mine to buy) so I sujest you to try use manualy focus when you have two main objects or more in your photos.

Very inteligent composition including the boat in the foreground to add deep in the scene. The sun in the background complement this great shot. I'd like to see the sun in focus but I don't know if was possible with your equipament.
