Interesting comment Roger,I hadn't really thought about the clearance of this hillside but I suppose they're planning to plant yet more olive trees-almost a mono-culture around here.I had actually considered desaturating the colours in this shot,the red soils are a characteristic of this area and the colour contrasts are really striking as in the photo.

the diference made by a few years of hard work in "clearing" the land eh nice dramatic landscape .. seems a little cooked to me in terms of colour.. however I have never driven that road and probably never will.. cheers mate
