Well, Ronald, the trap seals are in excellent condition and exactly in the form needed for a Hassie 500c. I discovered that I don't need them yet but it is always good to have them handy, and of couse even better to know that they are still produced in such a good quality.
My problem was that the already built-in seal was under the pressure of the dark slide, which of couse makes them "getting used" to their compressed volume and being unable to expand quickly to full volume again when the slide is taken out of its slot. The right thing would be to keep that dark slide out of the magazine as long as the magazine is attached to the body, that is. But poor Hassie was for months in the photo store and the slide was in during all that time... So it was clear that the seal would get "compactified", needing some time to be able to expand again. But now, after some weeks of usage, the light leakage is gone. Still I am glad to have ordered and received the new seals, so that I have them handy when it is time to replace the old ones.
As about your Mamiya C-330, first of all... you lucky guy! You extremely lucky one! Just feel lucky and... give her a kiss from me each time she shoots for you, OK??
Now, let's go on to the seals. Well, with a bit of information about the dimensions (and related things) it is not as hard to make them, really. I think now, after having seen how simple the seals for my Hassie are, to try to make some myself. You don't need any "high tech" tools or anything similar... And this is what lets me standing astound in front of such good old souls, like for example your Mamy. You can do so much with so little...
If you could send me some specifications of the light trap seals of your Many (dimensions, etc) I would really try to make them and send them to you - at no cost of couse. I can't guarantee that they will work but I will surely try my best.
Back to the seals of my Hassie, they are just about perfect. I tried exchanging the seal on one of my my magazines and it worked like a charm. Of course, after discovering that this wasn't yet necessary, it was only just to "see what it's good for". And the photometric experiment showed that there is no leaking light at all. (Now I am in turm to feel lucky.)
I am saying that since the guy that makes my seals is no "official supplier for Hasselblad". (http://home.earthlink.net/~blackbird711/HasselbladTrapSealSets.htm )
So perhaps you check it out and we see what we can do?

Yes, the added contrast does help. I'll work on the larger original; see how much I can push the contrast without losing shadow details (dim enough as they are, however). Thanks, Nick. Best regards, Ronald. PS: I'll be interested to see how your new Hasselblad seals work out. I have a leaky Mamiya C-330; since these cameras have been discontinued for years now, I may have to resort to home/hand made remedies. Should be a learning experience.

Very very good image, Ronald! I am impressed by the amount of crispy yet not oversharpened details on the buildings far away. The unusual composition is another plus here, since it shows how even "impossible situations" can be used for well composed images. The high ISO did bring the grainy appearance but this is not at all a problem to me here, since it only adds some kind of "aged look" without lowering the amount of details.
The overall blueish tint is perhaps a bit too much, though I am not really sure about that. I tried a very slight tweaking of the levels (attachment) and some contrast was won but I am not completely convinced of it. The histogram shows that there could have been some underexposure here.
Good work and idea!
