I tried to combine the glass of wine and the background into something like a collage using a very lazy focus. In some ways it seems to work but not really satisfactory. Any comments would be very welcome.
Thanks a lot for the comment and even more for the suggestion, Ben! Do you mean something like the attachment? I think too that it works better this way.
And yes, it is not sharp. As I already said I had the intention to try to make it look like some collage. Using a lazy focus seemed to work since it eliminated many textures and details of the glass and the surrounding wall etc. But I think that still enough details remained in order to still not produce that look and feel, which means that I messed it up. So, I'll need to retry some shots in this sense and see how could that be produced right out of the camera/lens.
