Hi Brian, Perhaps if you use a smaller "Aperture" like about f/8.0, you will be able to capture an attractive steam. Regards, Mitra

Thank you for the comments, if you read the comments above, I tried to get the steam but had some problems. There was something that always nagged at me about the composition that i couldn't figure out but, I think you hit the nail on the head :-)

Nice shot, Brian. I wish you'd include some steam coming from the cup. I am also bothered by the way you placed the cup in this scene.

Thanks for the comments. I did try to get some shots with the steam but most just looked like a slight haze in the picture. If you have any suggestions on capturing steam I'd like to hear them.

I like it and I think if you could take a shot with steam coming from the coffee would be great too. However, great photo. I can smell the fresh brewed coffee from my monitor! :) Well done! Mitra
