not in the middle?? what... using the centralisation of the two prime objects sets up an argument between the two as to which is the most important.. a sort of Castor Pollux argument in terms of the fact that the underlying notion of a centralised composition is all about altering the visual hierarchies. In this I was trying to set up the dichotomy between the two elements, based around that premise, in order to make the viewer work harder.
might it be harder than one, a random viewer, would think to hold the movement of the water and still correctly expose the top half of what is a very pleasant picture, 'cept I wouldn't put the tree trunk in the middle of the frame!....good work Roger. kind regards, david.
