40D is a very good camera and it is very popular in the world too. Congrats for your new camera :).

Yes, this will be our first child so I am feeling very happy and bit nervious. A great life cycle I am enjoying, In my childhood I was son, grown up under protection of my parents, after marriage, I became husband, I am lucky that I got her, she is so much loving and caring, now I will act like father. Yes, Shakespeare was right....

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages

Best Regards!
Neel

Thanks Neel, I recently got a 40D and am running it through a landscape and portrait test. I am really please with the lack of noise on higher ISO, and the quality of the color. Thanks for your comments on these shots. Take good care of your loovely wife and I will be thinking of your new joy to come, will this be your first child?
Be well my friend, Stan

Nice view in sepia. Looks a little like a moon crater.

Hi Ray, I found the sepia brought out more of the clarity. I liked the colors of the image but found the sepia one caught my eye with the snow covered peaks. I liked the patterns in the ice covered lake as well. Thanks for the comments as you see the image, that is always great to see what someone else sees and notices.
Be well, Stan

Your are welcome Ania, the sky and soft tones of the landscape work good in color too. I think the sepia lets you explore the picture with out favoring a color and seeing the layers of the picture. Have a great day my friend.
Be well, Stan

I personally prefer the colour version my friend but I agree with others that the soft sepia tones work well. After all they are two different compositions and it is possible to get something out of one and miss it in the other and of course, vice versa. The depth to the shot works best, for me, in colour because of those lovely natural tones. For some reason the clarity is clearer in the mono......how odd am I?? Well done to you my friend for TWO delightful landscapes. My very best wishes to you as always. Stan......Ray

Thanks Yazeed, I would love to trade tours in our places of residence, I am sure that we would both enjoy the sights and sounds around us!! I am sure yours is in a lot more turmoil. I just try to take the edge off with my good thoughts and wish I could do more than care.

Thanks Dave, just was inspired to do a wide screen landscape. Just to big to get it all in. I really like sepia, just a warm fuzzy feeling for me.
