I'm guessing the difference is upward angle and light off green hills

The color transition fits the aquarell like look very well for giving again the impression of those diffuse low contrast stamps on shirts and T-shirts, Ian. The higher contrast lines on the center right add a bit of more tension as they look intensionally drawn there. The impression is completely de-coupled from anything physical, and exactly this impossibility (and also unnecessity) to map it to something "real" at all is the very best start for abstracts. Still after this step nature introduces itself quite strongly here.
