Oh, I see now, Andre! I didn't consider it from this point of view until now, but it really seems that this is its main difference from the other two. Though the third one contains less things this seems to integrate more things in a "tighter" way.
I am a bit sad now for not taking some more this way, but good thing is that the trains are still here. I must try some more of this kind soon.

It is definitely the "boldness" of this one that attracts Nick. It seems there is nothing in the image that does not belong. Simple, straight forward.

Don't worry, you didn't hurt me at all, Nihit. BTW, what makes you think of that? I am open to any kind of thoughts, comments, replies, and just say what I think about it. In this case I was not really sure about whom you sent the message, and so I asked first.
My comments are not "spiritual" at all, and they will never be. They may demand mental activity from me but they can hardly be named "spiritual". Or I have a different definition of "spirituality". Many times I also participate in more "philosophical" considerations but not as results of some kind of "symbolism" of a given image. There is no intrinsic "meaning" of something on an image - it can only have the meaning that one applies onto that something, but nothing else.
So, I only try to use some arguments of logical content avoiding a purely subjective judgement, which of course is never possible to be perfecty achieved as long as I can only use my own eyes for seeing. But such things like "close your eyes towards the ground when you are going up" you can really forget in my case. (Should I have closed them I wouldn't have seen that there *is* a ground at all, ey? ;-))
In general, don't search for "spiritual symbolism" in what I say. You would only find what you already have in your own mind, not what I describe. This would be extrapolating the subjective and raising it to objective. And this would also be like... seeing that the temperature is 20°C on the thermometer and talking about some "spiritual" meaning of the number 20. ;-) But it is just a number having the same peculiarities and properties of all other reals, which is to be examined by mathematics and logic - not with "spiritual" assigning of "meaning" on objects at free will.

It seems that most people prefer this "middle" one out if the three piece sub-series. Not really clear to me why the preferences fall on this one, but still very glad to know that there is such a convergence here.

I thought that's the way to grade, its too confusing to me what the Rate comments : (Good | Avg | Poor | Abuse) are meant for, i have supported your comments that the gateways etc in the ground better be deleted/cropped; sorry if i have hurt you in any sense. your comments is spiritual and you may not be aware of that.you may be thinking its from photographic knowledge but its also spitituality to close your eyes towards the ground when you are going up, isn't?

I know what you mean and despite this I can't find my "best" one of these three. It seems that they are connected to each other too strongly in my mind as a unity.
But certainly, on abstracts there can be only one "wrong" thing and only for the photographer him/herself, namely if they are more or less what one intended to do or not. My intention was to proceed from a "real" image over one like this ("semi-real"??) to a "mysterious" one. Much like transforming a real thing to something "different" by using different angle / perspective / etc. It worked for meas all three do resemble more or less what I had in mind and so I am (perhaps too) happy with them.

Hi Nick,
As aZiZ aBc says, This one seems to stand out as the most attractive of the three images. The first one is a good image of the staircase, but because we see that it is a staircase, the mystery is taken away somewhat.
This one is bold and "in your face" and forces the viewer to come to some conclusion.
I don't think there is really any right or wrong when it comes to this kind of abstract image.
