As I've said I like both the work and the postwork.
The photo seems to be originally good because of the social subject and the expressions. The postwork is interesting because of shiny effect on the skins which exadjerate the 3D shape of muscles, and the ripples of the cloths, ..
I'd like to learn the trick !

First of all, I like the subject matter and composition, which probably was a good photo as an original. But the end result is like a painting, and I like the pastel colors. I don't know if the original photo's colors were that gentle. The main drawback to the effect might be that their skin looks blotchy.
