About	This was friday jan. 9th .. after a week of bitter cold, the ice on the Boerekreek was thick enough for skating, sledge, icehockey, or just walking .. I tried to give the picture a look like in "Winterlandscape" by Pieter Bruegel (http://www.waterdunen.nl/brueghelijs.html)

What a wonderful scene - not the sort of thing that is ever seen in the UK, and I have never seen such busy skating activity in Poland either. It somehow reminds me of a traditional Christmas scene - although the guys on bikes add a contemporary and somewhat amusing touch.
