Thanks Anthony, this was a really great moment as my grandson was enjoying his bath and using the air massage to increase the pile of bubbles in the tub. Glad you enjoyed this as I did. Have a great weekend.

Hi Brigitte, glad you caught up to this one. I like your story of your memories as well. I also like the "fro" thought for the title. Kaden would go all the way under the bubbles and then reappear out of the bubbles. I was able to get him to hold still long enough to catch this shot. Thanks for your kind words and so glad that I can share Kaden with you and will give him a hug and kiss. Have a great 4th!!

Oh, meant to add that I probably would have named it "Bubble 'fro" or something like that but your title works well too... hehe (still laughing)

Oh my gosh.... how in the world did I miss this!! This one made me laugh... ho ho ho ha hah haaahhh oh my cheeks hurt from laughing so much! lol What a cutie... he totally is a ray of sunshine in your life and we're so lucky to have you share him with us. What a fun idea he had with those bubbies... I remember doing the same as a child but my sisters and I made ummmm.... big boobs with the bubbles and then laugh... how embarassing, can't believe I actually typed this here but that's what it reminded me of.... so cute. I love your little boy!! And how fortunate for you to have your camera handy and the mind to photograph this special moment! Give him a kiss from me and the "kids". Have a great day, Brigitte 7++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hi Stan. I wanted to send you the URLs with a guge lot of info and the whole manual of the T90 but UF doesn't accept my message with the URLs. (I would like to know what the reasons is, but I assume again some kind of automatic filtering that doesn't like the URls.) Can I send you email perhaps? My email address is: karagiaouroglou@bluewin.ch

About films, I guess that there will be more than enough online-services where you can order them. Most of the time they are also much better in price than the average stores in towns.

Hope it was a bit of help to you.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Nick, I have been checking some of the specs on the T90 on the web. Never got a manual with mine so I have been googling for info. Also have been looking for film sources at affordable rates, it is hard to find anything other than 200 Kodak Gold around here.

Such bursts are quite a good help for catching a special moment, Stan. Aboit light... well, perhaps take some additional light sources and convert the bathroom to a studio? ;-)

And of course the raining is great. It is many times making us aware of possibilities and exactly of what they actually do. Really interesting as it adds more and more to our knowledge, isn't it?

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Keith, this was fun to watch him having such a great time in the serious bubbles. I just should of had a little lower angle for the shot. Through the lens is sometimes deceiving on a shot like this. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Nick, in these lower light situations I have been using my Rebel because I do not have any fast film around. I will try a burst of shots the next time and see what I come up with. The training DVD's are really interesting and show me just how much I do not know. Sometimes that is a good thing. Have a great day.

Hahaha Great shot Stan. Yes, i would love to have seen a little more of the eyes but my guess is you didnt have much time. They are so quick at moving about. Stiil get the peekaboo look. Well done. Cheers. Keith:) :)

I see, Stan. I would just set the auto-series feature and shoot at the full speed of 4.5 images a second of the T90 for hopefully getting some images with a good timing.

About cleansing bubbles, etc... I don't know. Perhaps leaving them there, on his eyes, could be also good for catching the joy of the young guy? It could look very spontaneous this way. Anyway, foam is hard to get. The good shot is the start of everything else, be it PS or anything.

BTW I guess that you are having real fun with the traing! Wish you much more of it!

Cheers!

Nick

Hi Nick, I actually took about a dozen shots during this bubble session. This was one of the best and so the story goes. I have been learning more photoshop techniques that I will experiment with to clear the bubbles from his eyes. I will let you know when I have it figured out. I got a 9 DVD set from the thrift store that is by Total Training. It has a Deke McClelland as the instructor. I am on the 4th DVD. Much to learn!!

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 1/23/2009
I see, Stan! I guess the fun was not only on your grandson's side, ey? ;-)

Perhaps a good thing would be to take some few images in series with the auto-series feature of the camera (or whatever it is called). This could raise the odds for getting also more of his face in some other angle, as he moves here and there. One can imagine of course the rest of his cheerful expression but exactly for that it would be nice to see that on the image as fully as possible.

But I guess that this was not the last bathing session. ;-)

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks for the comment Nick. This was a quick and fun shoot. I was just trying to capture the fun and mood of the bubble bath. I was shooting without flash with f4 and high Iso. Glad you like my boys happy face!!

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 1/22/2009
TRhe face was captured OK, Stan, and the bubbles add some small touch if "carnival" outfit, as if the foam would be sonme white afro-look hair. It fits well the softer red/rose tones of the face too. Perhaps a different angle for getting some more of the eyes which nonetheless are visible in a smile. The face portion is a but too small on the image.

I guess that the DoF should be greater, in case the foam belonged to your main interest on this one. The details of it are diffuse. Rather spots of light that bubbles.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Arian, I have a big air bubble massage tub that makes very good bubble baths. This was such a great pile of bubbles. They were almost a meter above the edge of the tub. Of course, Kaden was really enjoying his bubble bath. He was playing hide and seek.
