We have bob cats around here - but very rare to see them as the bush is so thick! also there have been reports of sightings of a few cougars in our area but I have yet to see one!

Thanks J.J. for the info. I was wondering if there were lynx in your area. Now I know.
I am presently in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and I have seen and shot Bob Cats in this area.

Hi Joe - no she was brought up by my son's girlfriend's mother from the age of 2 weeks. She is not too keen of having anyone else around but after spending an afternoon with her she allowed me into the compound with her. She huffed at me and snarled at me at first but eventually she settled down and I managed to get a few shots of her!
To get Lynx in the wild I would need to go north about 100kms. there are many of them around the North Bay area but not many in the Ottawa Valley.
