It has been exactly this way most of the times, Harry. This is nothing new. And again we see, judgment based on "feelings" is simply catastrophic! Exactly the same people bubbling exclusively about their kitschy "feelings" and never using logic, are those who are best able to return us to stoneages. For they will be convinced again and again and again out of enthusiasm for their version of "the right thing", as it is injected in their minds by yet another "messiah of the month", who knows how to play with their hearts.
Or wern't all those guys caring their guns and singing songs full of pride any joy about "bringing freedom and democracy" exactly the same kind of human beings, that were turned enthusiastic for "heroism and bravery" based on nothing else than their "feelings"? Imagine what would have been, if they would take advice from their own heads, ey? ;-)
Cheers!

Many many many excellent professionals say the same as your friend, Saad. Film demands much much more work and dedication, but once one is willing to do that work, it also knows how to reward one for that.
Cheers!

The signs of times Nick,
My parents truly believe that a docter or a professor has all knowledge, to put him on a statue and adore him as a God, stopping to listen to their own brain.
Signs of times ..

Thanks once more, AZiz!
It is a more "close-up"-like, which often is easier to look at for a less carefully looking eye. About abstraction, I don't really know. The other one is more "abstract" to me since this one does define some objects more strongly. But I try to keep in mind all the possible impressions that can be caused.

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Marcio. I find the other one more "representing" for the situation on that market, but of course it is the impressionb that it causes to other people than tome, since: If the other one was OK, it should also cause that impression to people that never saw that market with the own eyes. So I guess that in case that "chaotic" situation has to be conveyed, the other image should contain more of the place, people, etc, together with the many objects there.
Thanks a lot!

Und es hat nicht alles einen Inhalt, was technische Einzelheiten zwar auswendig aber ohne deren Verständnis wiederholt, Fabio.
Metal, as a material, exhibits exactly this kind of high reflectivity. It *has* to show glares and shines quite contrary to wood. From many angles you see them without a camera too. You don't see "details" on areas of high reflections on such surfaces. The image has to show that in this case, or else it fails depicting the metalicity.
Best wishes (not only for christmas) to you too.

Very Well Nick, since it suite your taste and passion, there is no any wonder why you do it as such, and it is very good that you receive the shots on CD,for me it is very good news to hear that there is someone who is so enthusiastic and having true passion for what he like to do the best, All my friends have giving up films, and analogue photography, but one, this one is though transformed to the digital, because there is no efficient lab, that process his photos the proper way,he still says that he misses the superior analogue filming, and photos, my regards, Saad.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Saad.
To answer your question, well, if the method works so well as you say, then why should I change it? Perhaps for getting the awful oversharpened pixel-jigsaws that turn the image to computer graphics from the early 1980s? No, thanks. I am glad as it works now. It also has the advantage that I follow all the staps of the process from the shot to the final image. This is another kind of close connection to photography, since I have to think about how to proceed for the development according to the contsnts of the film, the light conditions at shooting time, the type of film, etc. You embrace photography much closer this way.
On the other hand many times I order no prints but rather CDs from my development services. This way the photos are "printed" directly from the shot of the negative onto CD. This almost reveals the superior quality of the image on film - if the development service has the appropriate equipment for extracting the information stored on it.
But of course I do use digital technology too. I use it where I can use it reasonably. When I scan, or when I crop, or scale images down, then I use digital technology. And it is also a good storage and archiving medium.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Harry.
I think that that guy just borrowed much from the already existing "cult" and raised it to his "symbol". There have been enough "sungods" before him, and you know, such people have always a big idea about their own "godly" properties. ;-)
I wonder... how can it be that people accept such harlequins as their leaders instead of waiting for them to come out "in all their glory" and laugh with them. If you do the same things as the "sungody" in a movie, then the movie is a good slapstick. If you do them on the street, perhaps you get on some throne. ;-)
Cheers!
Nick
P.S.: Big mistake of the French Revolution to decapitate them... I would take them in some circus, as we need something to laugh with. ;-)

This one is much better than the other one ! I think it is due to abstraction. Great lights, ..

I think this image much more sympathetic than the previous, less disturbing..... The sun upside down highlighted the interest in the photo. A big hug.

being brass and bronze, and with this brilliant clarity, and with almost no noise,I have to admire the conversion to digital, and one personal question,if you do not mind, aren't you get tiered or bored from the repeating the conversion for the large number of shots you have, especially with knowing the fact that you do not use digital at all ? the shot is a great one regarding the colors, lighting and ,composition, Saad.
