This is top notch! The only thing I would change is the burned out spot on his head. Clone tool in PS. What makes this such a difficult shot if you can get lucky to get one, is that the head is so small and the body is so very long.

If this really is your first dragon fly I wouldn't bother taking any more it could only lead to frustration,I've never seen a better photo of a dragon fly than this!The lighting ,composition ,colour and definition are awesome.You should definately enter it for a competition.Congrats. in advance!
