Like the strong contrast and the wispy movement of the clouds. A striking film image with some thought and POV. Nice recognition for you Nick!! My best always. 7 for being there!! be well, Stan

Thanks a lot, Fabio!
For me it has been rather measuring light, trying different framings, and the like "technicalities", without which no special image can be done.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot Avi!
Long time since then as I was totally absorbed in the last project.. Was that a headache!
But better late than never, as we say. So, it is indeed one of my own favorites, really. But what do you think is so "abstract" here? I find this very interesting since Vandi said also more or less the same. Do you mean the "unreal" representation, or what else?
BTW, what about the image? I am still very very very interested and would love to have it. Was I absent for so long that you perhaps (and also understandably) lost any interest? If so, then sorry me please for that. It has been a hard tome here around. So, if you still are willing to send it, the just do. And tell me how I can pay for that, OK?
Cheers!

Thank you very much, Vandi!
But why abstract? Isn't that quite a straight thing? I mean just forest and clouds?

It is indeed exaggerated by underexposure, Saad, which is why there is (almost) only whites and blacks - only highlights and shadows. Which was also my own intention for a more "minimal" view.
But... if the forms of trees are "planed" why are the forms of clouds "purposeless"? (And vice versa.) It is exactly the same underlying principles that form both. The very same necessity.
Cheers!

I also find it one of my best shots, Gustavo, which is also why I am glad that you like it. I had much luck with this one since the sun was behind the mountains but still illuminated the clouds.
Thank you very much!

FANTASTIC. Like the outlines of two flames, dancing against each other, and not necessarily WITH each other. This is a sureshot BIP candidate, and I am going to see to it.. my only suggestion is put it in the 'Silhouettes and Abstracts' project.
Smeers !! Avi

I can not call it a gray scale image,it is merely two tones image, that show the difference between the chaotic formation of the clouds edges, and the other chaotic edges, yet planed and shaped over the millions of passing years, thus enhancing the difference between the planed purpose forms of the trees, and the purposeless edge forms of the clouds, this is my only observation about this shot, which is very fine for me,my best regards, Saad.

ahhh, me encanta, tiene fuerza y dramatismo, excelentes las siluetas de los árboles en el horizonte, y el cielo se ve oscuro y opresivo.
Me gusta mucho!, y para mi gusto, de tus mejores fotos.
