And is that naturally there or the result of some human intervention? I am asking you because in my youth back in Greece they used to apply some kind of white color or limestone suspension on trunks of trees up to some 2 metters from the roots. They don't do that anymore but don't ask me why the did that in the past. Some kind of protection perhaps...
About Fabio's style, yes this is it. And I don't know if he does it willingly and consiously or if he mistakenly thinks that the natural look of the image wins something by turning all sharpness knobes to infinity in PS or some other sogtware. In fact... there is no better way to destroy anything natural on the image. But this is another (long) story.
this is very good of you dear Nick,the tree is already covered by a very thin layer of wax I think,that is why you see it like that,also I have noticed in it a shining at the level of single pixels,as regards for Fabio's style ,it is characteristic of him,and I just want to send a message in his style,regards, Saad.
Good sense for hardness and raised sharpness in Fabio's style, Saad, but as I also told him, it is exaggerated. That's way too much up to the point that the white halos as results of oversharpening can be seen around each and every tiny darker region. As if the wooden surface was covered by a thin metallic layer or something.
As an abstract it does something though it gets too complicated in this sense.
