While in my pre-teens, my family used to go camping at a place called Bass Lake not far from Yosemite. There was a store at the lake called the Forks for buying all kinds of food, drink, clothes, and just about anything you might need. They also had a food counter where you could buy short order food and soft drinks. I remember the place well. While on a trip to Yosemite this year, I took a detour to Bass Lake and visited that same store. This photo was taken of that food counter and eating area where we used to go for fries and a Coke. Over 50 years later and the only thing that appears to have changed is the covering of the stools and chairs. Wow.
