About The start of a new short series names "In the fields around Geneva". I was at CERN some years ago where some of the people had a small photo-club some steps away from this field. While I was waiting for the people to come the sky looked quite interesting over the field. So I decided to give it a try. Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot for the idea, Saad!

So I follow your thoughts and here is the result. (Attachment) It is very inetersting indeed. As a B&W it git really more... "silent". Thanks a lot!

Turned to B&W and adjusted levels after Saad's idea

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Aziz!

There was no more sharpness on the original, though. The downscaling algorithms of PS do a good job for preserving sharpness, which is also not very hard to do if the duration of the process is not a concern. The top of the tree shows indeed a noticeable lowering of sharpness which I think is rather motion blur as the top of it of course swings much more in the wind. On the rest of it I can clearly see the small branches, and so it's shapr enough for me there. Any other regions that could be sharper?

Cheers and thanks again!

Nick

Hi Nick, this is just an idea, since the only clear and strong color here is that of the sky,all the trees and bushes are deep brown to black,I suggest to convert it to gray scale and do some level adjustment and watch the results,my regards,
Saad.

Hi Nick
Colors, composition and light is very good.
The only thing is quality ( sharpness ) which I think is reduced due to resizing !
Be well
Aziz
