Ah, i did nothing with channels Paul, as the information for the grain was already white, and the background (blue sky) was very dark.. all i needed to do to this infrared images was levels, curves, sharpening and framing .. thx for looking !

Good use of the diagonal. So close it's become almost an abstract. Exposure is spot on.
