Yes, I also noticed that, Peter! And that's why I turned to manually scaling my posts down to 850px (largest dimension) before uploading them. Or else sometimes I have those pixelation effects too. They don't *have* to appear, they only *can* appear, especially on images with such a dominance of "linear" things in them.
Cheers!

Hi Nick,
I post my pictures at 1000px, and perhaps the UF resizing caused this pixelation .. maybe it would be better to post at 850px (as this is the size i see when copying the image from UF), do you have an advice in this matter ?
Peter

Food for its (mainly) strict geometry! First I though that exactly that lower part was not needed, but then I opened the whole image using a bigger monitor, and voila! It is exactly the right thing! Which also shows how important it is to view the composition as a whole and not only one part at a time.
The white of the cable-ropes and the blue of the bridge stand in electric contrast to the background sky. The whole bridge and the lorry are almost radiating in front of that background!
Only a quite extended pixelation of the cables does disturb me a bit. How did that come?
Cheers!
Nick

Now that is striking! The truck is essential to give this scale.
