About At ISO 400/27° for coarser grain at the same time and place like on "The swimming swans in front of the church". It seems to work in an unexpected way, doesn't it? I'd be gled for any comments.

Hi Visar!

Well, I must also admit that I am very pro grain. In some sence it goes the typical way of tube overdrive for my eyes. Somewhere between pointillism and distortion as it cuts the "peaks" and raises responce/swing. Or if you like, re-composing the sound (scene) by audible (visible) elementary pieces. Something like that.

Cheers!

yes, Nick, now it attracts no attention.

'the grain' (pardon me for being hasty in saying noise, and yes it is something else) Nick, is where your preference and mine differ.
i think the atmosphere is the whole composition and elements in it- the rainbow, swan and the life in front of the church- its reflection and light- it is very warm already.
and, I DO like it, very much indeed.

cheers,
v.

I have my doubts about that rainbow too, Gustavo! Sometimes I like it, and sometimes I don't.

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment.

Thanks a lot for yet another in deoth going comment, Visar!

Well, perhaps clone the red roof into that little piece of sky at the top right? (Attachment.) Anyway, I don't think at all that you are splitting hairs, since that small sky square is really not belonging there.

About the "noise", which is rather grain (=something else), I find it the main producer of the atmosphere. As I already said to Vandi, it lets it look "aged" for my eyes while at the same time the details remained visible, even in smaller sizes than the average grain size. I'll continue on this for some more images, though it is indeed not attractive for many people.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Vandi!

For me the grain (not noise, it's grain!) is the very essence of the image's "aged" atmosphere, especially because the size of the smallest details is lower than the average size of the grain itself. I am indeed a big friend of that. Still I know that this is definitely not the case for most people.

Cheers!

Yo la encuentro interesante, los brillos son muy vistosos y agradables, solo te observo esa especie de arco iris que a mí me molesta un poco.
Como siempre la composicón es correcta y el balance de la exposición es bueno.

Un abrazo!

I agree with Vandy about aces resulting with this noise!
apart for that, i find this image with a great feel and so much atmosphere to it; the colours of the rainbow, the swan, the family beyond the river on the stairs- all so great and full of life.

the composition is great. i would have done something with that part of little sky on the very up right corner- though not to sure what would i do, as cropping is not the right thing because it would effect the column which i would not like to see impared... i don't know, i don't know... oh, but that's just splitting hairs! ;)

cheers Nick,
v.

The noise is really high here, diminishing the quality of image. The composition is very good and pleasant.
