you've taken - in my mind - a pretty mundane animal and given it real dynamics and character - it's a great and unusual shot - the colours have a cosy retro look too

Answering to Luca Varani:

I don't remember very well as it was taken some years ago, anyway I was layed on a slope, the cow was moving a bit and I've kept the camera parallel to the ground. I think that this explains the strong sense of motion.

Best regards!

I, too, prefer the grass out of focus. I don't care too much about the shadow on the neck of the cow, instead. Was it standing still, as they ususally do? I am asking because the picture gives a strong sense of motion, in my opinion. Nice.
Bye,Luca

well,I need to make an additional comment now that I am in front of MY screen (I first saw this image on a 15inch monitor in a badly lighted office). So,the brightness is OK and the sky not-so-saturated,BUT the image is small.Anyway...I like it!

This makes a more interesting thumbnail/photo than your cats,mr Doodle, mainly because of the low angle you chose to shoot this cute animal from. This perspective makes the image much more powerful than shooting it from eye-level,and proves that shooting upwards is a nice alternative in many photographic situations. The 28mm was a very good choice, even though it forced you to come close to your not-so-calm subject, and the lighting is OK.The head could be brighter, but it stands out well from the saturated(polarized?) sky.I don't mind the out of focus grass;on the contrary,I think it should be that way.Regards,Kostas

I wish it was bigger, but anyway... it's GREAT! Should be a bit distracting with the cropped leg, but somehow it suits the wild style in the shot! Very nice colours and interesting shot!

I love the composition and the colours. The minus is unsharp grass
