Hi Jen - thanks for sharing the info on our lovely and interesting plants, found only in the Cape Fynbos. In fynbos dynamics the restios replace the grasses to a large extent regarding function. These "reeds" are widely used for manufacturing of very neat thatced roofs. Regards.

Unfortunately, I'm not very fond of football. I used to watch it with my brother when we were young teen agers, but that's been so long ago. Now I don't even remember the rules of the game:)

How nice you can imagine me laying there to take this shot, it looked so great to see the sky in clouds and blue, in contrast with the green reed...now I look at reed all the time, but its different here somehow, although I tried, falling into them..loll, good you didnt see me:))

You're too kind my dear, happy you like my little reeds, once I started looking at them I will always stop on the way to see if they give a nice effect;)
My day was quite well, too many things to do, need a holiday and soccer is exciting, now Swiss playing against Turkey, Holland will be on Friday again, there are 2 matches every evening, so very busy times...loll

Ja hoor, riet groeit wel weer aan, ze maaien he regelmatig en dan groeit het weer uit hoor.
